Bibi Russell, the remarkable model who rose to stardom in the late 70s and early 80s, now works for causes that are much closer to her heart: the plight of the hand woven textile industries, their workers – and now breast cancer research – in her native Bangladesh.
For 2010, Bibi Russell has created 3-piece silk bangle sets exclusively for the International Breast Cancer Research Foundation (IBCRF)

Dr. Love is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Public Health, The Ohio State University and Scientific Director, International Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Madison, WI. Dr. Love is a medical researcher whose focus is on hormonal control of breast cancer. For the last 15 years his NIH and Breast Cancer Research Foundation-funded research has been done in collaboration with colleagues in Vietnam, and more recently in the Philippines and Bangladesh.
His clinical trial of adjuvant surgical oophorectomy and tamoxifen established a new global standard of care, of significant importance to 500,000 poor women diagnosed with breast cancer annually around the world.
In 1993 Dr. Love founded the International Breast Cancer Research Foundation (IBCRF) with a number of other cancer physicians. Currently at Ohio State University, Dr. Love directs IBCRF research projects all over the world. These projects in 22 countries provide opportunities to conduct research on the significance of genetic, dietary, lifestyle and hazardous exposure differences.
In its 17th year, IBCRF is committed to practical, cost-effective, breakthrough research that takes advantage of the most promising opportunities and ideas everywhere in the world. This research – especially clinical research – holds the key to understanding, preventing and curing breast cancer.

Raise Money for IBCRF by Selling on eBay
An Opportunity That You Can Do Anytime of the Year |

|
IBCRF is currently involved in an exciting new opportunity for people to contribute to our organization through eBay Giving Works, eBay's charity section. MissionFish is the nonprofit organization that manages the process, and with their help more than $81 million has been raised for charities on eBay Giving Works.
You now have the opportunity to sell on IBCRF's behalf, referred to as Community Selling. Choose one or several items and when you are creating your listing on eBay, designate the International Breast Cancer Research Foundation as the organization that you would like to donate a percentage of your winning bid. You can donate 10-100% of the final sale to IBCRF. There is a $5 minimum donation for each listing that sells. Your item will appear with the eBay Giving Works ribbon icon to verify that it is a charity auction. Buyers will be more likely to bid on your item knowing that it is for a good cause.
How Selling for IBCRF Works
IBCRF is already registered as a nonprofit with MissionFish. If you would like to sell an item and donate a percentage of the sale to IBCRF:
- You must be registered as an eBay seller
- When you are entering the information about the item you are selling under the "Sell Your Item" section, be sure to select the International Breast Cancer Research Foundation under the "Donate percentage of sale" on the Pictures and Details section. Note: If you cannot find the "Donate percentage of sale," go to the top of the page, click on Show/Hide Options, and make sure that you click on "Donate percentage of sale" so that it is not hidden.
- You will be prompted to create a MissionFish account if you have not already done so. This process will ensure that you make your donation payment.
- After the auction ends, the buyer will pay you, and you will ship the item as usual.
- Go to MissionFish and pay your donation. IBCRF will then receive your donation, and MissionFish will send you a receipt.
